When I work with clients, my goal is to be a source of knowledge, support, and reassurance every step of the way.Let’s be honest — buying a home is one of the biggest (and most exciting) decisions you’ll ever make! Taking the time to find a Realtor you truly feel comfortable with will set you up for success from the very beginning.
How Do I Find the Right Realtor?
Start with referrals.Your family, friends, and co-workers are great resources. Chances are, someone you know has had a great experience with a Realtor they can recommend. People usually only refer someone they truly trust — and that’s a huge plus for you!
Check out local homebuying seminars and open houses. Homebuying seminars are often free and packed with valuable information. Plus, they’re a great way to meet Realtors who are active in the areas you’re interested in. Open houses are another opportunity to casually meet Realtors and get a feel for who might be a good fit.
Call a local real estate office. If you already know where you want to live, reach out to a local brokerage. The managing broker can connect you with an agent who specializes in that neighborhood and understands the ins and outs of the local market.
Okay, I’ve Got a Few Realtors in Mind... Now What?
Set up interviews.Meeting face-to-face is so important! It gives you the chance to see if the Realtor’s style and knowledge are a match for what you’re looking for. Pay attention to how they communicate and whether they seem genuinely interested in helping you reach your goals.
Choose your Realtor. After meeting with a few different agents, trust your gut. Choose the person you feel the most comfortable with — someone you trust to guide you, answer your questions, and always have your best interests in mind.
Let the house hunt begin! Now the fun part starts — searching for your new home! This phase can be thrilling but also emotional at times. That’s where having the right Realtor really matters. They’ll help manage expectations, keep things on track, and be your steady guide all the way to the finish line.
There’s so much more to learn about the homebuying journey — and this is just the beginning!I can't wait to help you turn your dream of homeownership into reality!
